I’m a bit depressed today about illegals still pouring in and the election crap.

I do have conviction that the administration is acting but we need to see some results pretty soon on both of these issues.

I believe there’s been a net decrease in illegals coming to the country, but the MSM is making it seem like they walked right through the fences without challenge. Many MSM headlines screamed that north of Tijuana, “Caravan migrants jumped the fences!” and other titles that suggested they were not stopped.

But reading the text in those stories inevitably revealed that caravan migrants jumped ON the fences and taunted police offers, border patrol and “other officials” and that there were many vehicles of various types (vans, trucks, jeeps, and helicopters) waiting on the other side of the fence. One migrant reportedly darted through a gap in the fence and border patrol and others immediately approached - the man darted back through to the southern side. A very different reality than the headline.

Now that razor wire was added to that contested portion of the fence, something that would have been decried as the arrival of a police state (and intention to trap Americans wishing to flee the country), there are no photos of anyone jumping on the fence. Coincidence?

Meanwhile, I’ve come across a few rumors on Youtube and websites hinting darkly of unknown threats awaiting us south of the border. As far as I can tell, Project Mockingbird realized that the caravan was not helping their cause approaching the midterms. They changed the 4am talking points to be “Danger! Danger! Will Robinson!” and to provoke fearful anger toward the president by falsely portraying him as not responding to the needs or failing on his promise to stop the caravans from entering the US. POTUS order to deny caravan migrants asylum hit the news cycle and was instantly gone.

The leftist media used to hide the number of illegals crossing the border (nothing to see here!) but now, to portray states’ decisions to allow unchecked migration into their borders as a failing of POTUS, the stories fan the flames of “CRISIS!” by shrieking about unchecked flow of illegals and, “Central American cities are going to empty out. Be prepared. We’re looking at a dismal future if this isn’t stopped.”* Where were such stories before the caravan took shape?

Oddly, a new talking point may be taking shape.

“The AP also reported migrants rushing the border won’t see armed soldiers. Instead, they will be greeted by cranes installing towering panels of metal bars and troops wrapping concertina wire around barriers while military helicopters fly overhead, carrying border patrol agents to and from locations along the U.S.-Mexico border.”*

What’s odd about that, is that is suggests failure - it implies people want to see armed soldiers there instead of walls. Like our soldiers won’t arm themselves if needed? And here’s the lament:

“This is a crisis, it’s insane, and it’s suicidal. Expect it to ruin the USA if they get through and it continues for six months and longer. The malfeasance of our politicians is sickening as is that of the media who call this “imaginary”.”*

So there are military helicopters, troops, and walls being built and this is proof of the “malfeasance of our politicians.” Hmmmm....I wonder WHICH politicians they might be thinking of?
