No they didn’t.
Fox spanked Judge Jeanine and Sean Hannity for going on stage with Trump. YET, they allow Shep Smith to spew his daily venomous lies against the President. (And he does exaggerate and lie)
Many of us are news junkies, so where do we go? CNN, MSNBC? OAN is in constant desperation mode, so I dont see an option.
Too bad for us its nothing new. I noticed the same thing since I was first old enough to vote. The penchant that ‘news’ organizations have for making news, becomes most tragic on election day. I read where someone suggested there should be a media blackout on voting day..... sounds like a great idea to me. The farther west you live, its easy to feel like your vote matters less and less when these races are ‘called’ so early.
One America News Now. Much easier on the blood pressure.
Welcome to the Club. I haven’t watched one minute since I held my nose and voted for the man with the magic underwear.
Yes, CNN seemed to avoid punditry and cheer-leading quite well those times when I put them on. Also, it was a rather stark contrast between them and fox, as they had on only Wolf Blitzer and one guest/contributor.
Fox on the other hand wasn’t happy with one, semi-circular, fully-loaded panel, they actually had to have two of them, with approaching a dozen talking heads in the studio at one time. While they appear to have a grand production and CNN almost looked like a basement broadcast, the sheer number of opinion-givers on fox was overkill. They made Juan Williams wait forever to talk. I thought maybe he was going to pop from being ignored, lol, but actually seemed pretty calm. I think he’s just collecting a check.
Yes they did.
Avoid stress and if that’s what you get from Fox, stay away. Watch and read whatever you want. But, try not to put yourself in a filter bubble. Too many on the left and a lot on the right do that - it’s easy to do without realizing it. Then they are shocked when things happen that they hadn’t heard about or didn’t think were realistic.
FR educates me quite often but doesn’t often change my mind. I read a lot of crap to find the occasional things that change my mind. DU would be offensive if I was willing to be offended but also provides insight into how “the other side” feels and thinks. And occasionally someone on DU makes a good point or provides reliable statistics (with references) and changes my mind.
Pretty simple then.. don’t watch.
Lots of folks around here are acting like the Dems in 16.
Everyone needs to relax. Things will be fine.
Don’t forget to be angry at the politicians who wave in illegals who systematically are changing the demographics of America. We did have a slim victory last night, given that the House will become a multicultural clown show, but there will few wins left once White conservatives become a minority.
“What a waste of bandwidth”
The speed and cheapness of bandwidth has transformed the world. Throw in dirt cheap electronic circuits. Throw in a hoard of software people building on top of what’s already there. Throw in the seductive touch screens.
You’re late coming to the party...
We get all of our internet, netflix, etc. from a cell phone taped up in a window as a hotspot, typically at one or two bars. Bandwidth matters for us. :)
I didn’t watch any of them. I went straight to streaming videos once home from the voting booth.
I waited until 9-10 pm to check the local stations on state results, even then I muted the audio before changing the channel.
I am so done with the reporting of Elections. I vote, then I look at the results... It Keeps the BP down. :)
Same channel switch for me then FR for the rest. Turned off the sound on fox while watching to just see vote results and not listen to the bias come through. Will watch Hemmer in the Am as hes , to me , at least balanced and asks good questions compared to smart smiles and pseudo intellectual pontificating
Most the news people on Fox are die hard leftists who simply put on a face to be pro-right.
If you watched it during the 2016 elections you saw the same thing until it was apparent her heinous was going to lose.
I use it as a tool, one of many, to get various reports on the news. It’s definitely not a sole source nor should it be even when it was much better.
Fox was unwatchable last night. I never thought the day would come when I would say this, but I switched to CNN for better coverage.
