Please note that I specified “Caucasian,” not white, because Caucasians can have a range of skin tones, ranging from very light to very dark. Arabs are Caucasians, and many of them are white. Not only are they Caucasians, but many Arab/Muslim countries are located in the area generally thought to be where Caucasian peoples originated.
When you say that the “vast majority of Muslims are Asian,” are you using the word “Asian” as the Brits do, to denote geographical origin rather than race?
The reason I think it is so important to point out that most Arabs are, in fact, Caucasians, is that I am very fed up with criticisms of Islam being dismissed as purely race-based. There are a number of valid criticisms of Islam that have nothing to do with race, but as long as we keep accepting the premise that people of that religion are a different race, we will find the valid criticisms very difficult to defend. Since the left loves to label any conservative position as being rooted in racism, why not take that tool away from them?
