Several very dumb things come to mind... but one particularly dumb one that was sort of recent (a relative term based on one’s age, right?) was when...
Several years ago, shortly after my husband had moved here from CT... He dropped me off at the door of the grocery to run in and get some cash from the ATM machine just inside. I was supposed to get $250.
I was not 100% familiar with his car (a gold Toyota Camry). I got $240, and came bopping out the door, and there was a gold car right there in front of the door, and I opened the passenger door and got in and sat down, said I could only get $240.. then saw the teenager in the driver’s seat, who was completely surprised by me. I said quick apologies, explained I made a mistake, and got back out of his car.
He’ll probably never forget that little incident.....LOL
