Do Ds usually lead mail in voting? Seems like I remember Ds always leading from the first day and Rs say “that’s ok, republicans show up on election day”.

It doesn’t mean much unless we can compare it to something (e.g. past elections)

2016 voting for a little bit of perspectice. I’d agree with poster that this is somewhat encouraging but really tough to tell this early.

Also just to define these numbers. In FL you can either vote “by mail” (absentee) or “vote early” in person at a polling location. Anyone can choose either of these voting methods, it is purely choice if you want to vote by mail, early or on election date. Early voting at a polling location will not start until the last week of October for most counties in FL.
