Well, Scalia died in early 2016 and the Repubs refused to seat a SC justice until the presidential elections were over. The Rats didn’t fight it because they were sure Hillary would win. If Ginsberg holds out until 2020, the Rats will fight tooth and nail to prevent Trump from filling the vacancy.

If it was the 2012 election there wouldn’t have been the same excuse. Apparently the lame duck thingy was a precedent.
