Crazy story.
She was NOT Arrested, she Was Kidnapped at Gunpoint and held against her will and forced to pay a ransom, her Ex Husband and the DA Conspired together to Commit this Heinous Act and they BOTH Belong in Jail for a Very Very long time. I would give the arresting officer 1 year and immediate termination just for being Stupid enough to follow the DA’s order
Her Ex-Husband will be on her Sh*tList forevermore!
She may even find a way to retaliate. I’ve known couples that do that, each one ‘to set the record straight!”.
Moral: dont have babies with a-holes.
I don’t believe that she didn’t tell the cops what happened.
False arrest. Kidnapping.
Take the SIMM Card out. Flush SIMM Card. Smack phone with hammer. Give kid broken phone back.
Corrupt prosecutors. Typical.
I heard about this today on the Janet Parshall radio show.
Right there. Explains a lot. Keep it up buddy and you'll start losing visitation and pay more for your little princess' upkeep when the custody judge hears this.
Kind of false story.
Headline should be “Ex-husband frames woman for stealing phone”.
Yes she was arrested, but it was on the ex-husband’s lie that it was his phone. He should pull a perjury charge, or lying to police, or filing a false police report. Either way, he needs jail time for it.
Very strange. If this story is correct, she should seek compensation.
Where were the protesters when this nursing mother was ripped from her infant?

"Since the (city/county/state) has decided that it should be the parent rather than me, in deciding I was not allowed to discipline my child, I agree to the (city/county/state)'s decision to become the child's parent, and take over all responsibilities up to and including putting her through college. Please come and pick up her stuff as soon as possible, I want to set up a man-cave in her room."

Just a few words on the other side of this story.
My ex was very big in playing phone rinky-dinks whenever I wanted to all my daughter. This was long enough ago that cell phones were unusual and expensive, but every time I called on the house phone my daughter was “not available”. I would have gladly added another phone to my cell plan and given it to my daughter so I could talk to her.
I very much suspect that the phone in question was an additional line on the father’s plan, and therefore his property.
Mother’s day was May 13 this year, and the phone was taken away in April. A few days restriction on the phone might be reasonable, but this is somewhere between 2 and 6 weeks of restriction, with no end in sight.
I think the mother was trying to prevent the father from contacting his daughter, using “discipline” as an excuse. And, I think she deserves to be arrested for that kind of BS.
The right way to do this would be to give the phone back to the father for a set period of time. When the mother takes the phone away and keeps it that is stealing no matter how you slice it.
Or, possibly forbid her from taking the phone to school for a period of time — say a few days or a week. The mother was being unreasonable and got caught.
