Urban growth is world wide and of long standing. The opportunities for the more “educated” are not there. For example, I would be hard-pressed to find sufficient players to make up a card game. In Chicago it is a breeze.
If nothing else the Division of Labor would drive people to the cities where (for good or worse) you can literally get anything.
