It seems to me that if you were drunk when something happened and three decades have gone by, you might not even know for sure what was true or false about your own experience.

I will have “memories” of childhood sometimes when suddenly I realize they are not memories, but dreams; or I “remember” places I’d visited, and then realize that actually I’d only seen pictures of them.

The mind can have a strange ability to conflate things that happened with things imagined. I don’t trust lie detectors at all.

The accuser has a problem. She doesn’t know where she was, how she got there. I’m betting that mommy and daddy are not happy with this event....assuming they are alive.
