To get an idea of how “maverick” John McCain was, you only have to look at Penzey’s daily advertorial. Among their ads hawking the spice deals of the day, they talk about how noble he was to battle the evil Bush in the 2000 election and how gracious he was in letting Obama win in 2008.
I tell people I’m so old I remember when MTV showed music videos, the Weather Channel showed weather, and the History Channel showed history. I’m also so old I remember when John McCain was a conservative and a war hero.
Finally, I’m so old I remember when liberals despised the CIA. Now John Brennan is their god. Or one of their gods.
