Between September 1 and September 15, we will vote on the weekend in June 2022 that the meet up will take place.

Here are the possibilities and their issues:

June 4 and 5 - Right after Memorial Day

June 11 and 12 - Graduations?

June 18 and 19 - Father’s Day and Juneteenth, which now
is a federal holiday

June 25 and 26 - The weekend before the 4th of July
weekend

See elsewhere in the thread as to why the month for this is June.

I’m basing this on my work schedule, which may or may not apply by June...

Preferred - June 25-26
Secondary - June 18-19

Seems like a very interesting, outdoorsy area.

This is the official start of the Freeper Q Thread 2022 Meet-up planning.

The meet-up will be in Branson, Missouri in June.

The possible dates are:

June 4 and 5

June 11 and 12

June 18 and 19 (The 19th is Juneteenth, a new federal holiday, so it will be a long weekend for some. It is also Father’s Day.)

June 25 and 26

If you have any interest in joining us and there is good a possibility you can make it, you may vote for one of these weekends between now and September 15th. As long as you have posted at least three non-troll posts on a Q thread prior to today, you can vote.

See prior posts on this warehousing/meet-up discussion thread for why Branson is the location and why we are not voting on a location this year. The short answer is that Branson came in second in our vote last year.

Got to post #2497 on this thread if you want to read about the history of the Freeper Q Thread Meet-up. It may seem like a lot of posts to go through, but it will only take 1/4 the time as reading through the same number of posts on an active Q thread. For one thing, there are hardly any links. For another, a lot of the discussion is about the meet-up that took place earlier this year.

One vote per person. Please only vote for one weekend. Whichever weekend gets the most votes by midnight Sept. 15th wins.

For me, the sooner the better, but I don’t want to waste my vote on June 4-5 since no one else wants it.

Ergo, my vote is cast for June 11-12.

Our vote goes for the 11-12 weekend. I’m hoping to make it to this one. So far, no new grands scheduled that month, yet. ;)
That’s what kept us from this last one.
