The Broward County Sheriff's Office is looking for a woman believed to have stalked a shopper in an Aldi grocery store and stolen her wallet.
Surveillance video recorded June 27 in an Aldi in Cooper City shows the alleged theft, just after 4:15 p.m.
The video shows a busy grocery store, with one woman shopping along a produce aisle.
Behind her, another woman shopping along the parallel frozen food section seems to watch and follow the other shopper.
"The thief bides her time waiting for the perfect moment to strike," the Broward County Sheriff's Office wrote in a Facebook post about the incident. "She pretends to shop, placing random items into her shopping cart. She moves closer to the victim’s shopping cart while the victim shops and quickly backs off when the victim turns her attention back to her purse."
That's when the alleged thief moves close enough to reach into the woman's purse and grab her wallet, according to the sheriff's office.
The woman leaves her cart and then the store, investigators said.

She’s Norwegian? She’s Amish? She’s Finnish? Boy, this is complicated. Broward County seems to have shown up several times these past few months.
Are the Police in FL. trying to track her down?
How much did she charge on her shopping spree? are there video's of that...on the back of all my credit card...I write ASK FOR MY ID...but many clerks don't even turn a credit card over...smh

On my debit cards (when I still had money in the bank, even a little bit) I would write in Magic Marker
“ASK FOR I.D.”
Some would just turn it over and ignore it. On rare occasion some asked for I.D. I thanked them for doing so and happily provided my I.D. for verification.
Never leave your valuables out in the open with your back turned. No place is that safe, not even a church pew.

On both of my Amex cards I block out the CVS number because twice they were compromised and it happened like at a motel and a restaurant where the card left my sight.
If she and Oprah wind up wrestling over the last chicken wing at Ryan’s Buffet, there could be a 9.0 down there.
Easy mark - an older, inattentive lady. And it looks as if Lard-o even did it with a stocking clerk around. Note the mom with the kids had her purse secured on her shoulder.
Then the perp had to abandon her cart brimming with EBT food and no doubt shop later for her steaks and lobster. A full day’s work, really!
I don’t even need to look to know.
