Was listening to Gilder on the radio concerning that book. Very interesting but mother in law called and I missed most of his interview. You recommend reading the book?
Yes, I recommend the book. Great introduction to blockchain if you're not involved in the technology yourself. Great information about the negative impact of regulation on innovation, to the benefit of big players like Google. Interesting prediction of the demise of the big secret data companies in favor of open source data and having the use control the use of his own data. Interesting stories about recent start-ups, including those in Peter Thiel's circle of influence. Plus Gilder's own take on the relationship between God and machines.
I consumed it via audiobook, and very much enjoyed it.
