Not to most people's casual vernacular.

I understand that but I didn't teach their class, but the engine develops its power like all jets without pistons or reciprocating elements. Methods of thrust production differ. Military helicopters are all 'jets'. Thrust produced through mixbox/transmission drives the rotors.
