Honestly the Q threads have become just a little private chat room for some posters. I daresay there are easily more off-topic posts than helpful ones, and frankly one individual poster who would do well to get a dog.

I just look in now and then when there's about a half page of posts to read, just to see what's up. I just had to reply to your post though... you're not alone in your thinking...

The signal to noise is crap on substantially all of FR threads, has been that way for over a decade. And there are many threads that resemble chatrooms, canteen, weekly dose, etc. Nothing wrong with like-mined people clumping into cliques, it's normal.

It's also normal to have bomb-throwers appear from time to time.
