More than 20 years ago I had the privilege of having dinner with Justice Thomas and a small group of young lawyers shortly after he was elevated to SCOTUS. It was an amazing experience. I found Justice Thomas to be witty and very kind. And very funny. The man filled the room. I’ll never forget it. I read every one of his opinions with telish. He is a giant who history will treat well.
Wow what a great experience! I remember his path to the court, it was not a pleasant road. Thankfully he stood his ground and we have had all these years of his wisdom on the court.
