“Even the old EE Bonds paid 6%.”
What, then iv’d been horribly shortchanged!
I cashed all my EE saving bonds late last year and the most i ever received was 3%.
I had to cash mine in due to illness between 2000 and 2002.
I had accumulated them between 1990 and 1993. They had a permanent 6% earnings.
A short time after that, ‘new’ EE bonds started earning a flexible interest rate based on the prevailing Federal interest rate.
