The swastika is also a symbol of good luck in South and East Asia. Its a very common sight in ancient-to-modern wood carvings in furniture, vessels, and architecture.

No offense, but try a wiki search on the history.

Shame this ancient symbol was stolen for something so evil.

RE swastika - it is my understanding the NAZI swastika was not only stolen from the good luck symbols, but the direction of the arms were REVERSED. I recall this from a vacation my family went on when I was little. I had a post card from a SW state, with a picture of a genuine good luck Native American swastika, and the arms were pointing the other direction. The card explained that.

Just a memory - can’t back that up with a link.
