Tesloop, a Tesla-only shuttle service based in Southern California, recently had a Model S reach 400,000 miles on the odometer and gave an account of how it is holding up.
Tesloop has incurred a combined maintenance cost of roughly $19,000 or about $0.05/mile. This cost breaks down to $6,700 for general vehicle repairs and $12,200 for regularly scheduled maintenance.

I too have wondered if the sensor is off. Actually the coolant level does go down but very slowly. I can’t find any leaks.
When I say it goes down, it is a cupful every couple of weeks.
Pontiac vibe, 280,000 miles. Most expensive shop repair was $95.
Just replaced original brake rotors
The Enterprise people are pretty sharp.
My wife had a Suburban that I loved, only a radiator in 150k.
My employer provides me with a ride, I ask for a pickup.
They ordered a Chevy half-ton that matched the Suburban.
I loved it, except it would not start, sometimes after much cranking, it would go, was towed to the dealer 6 or 8 times in the first year.It became such that the company owner had a key and would attempt to start it, no go (he lives near me)
I mentioned it to our Enterprise rep; he said, return it to the dealer as soon as you can.
Enterprise told the dealer to change the f’n plug wires.
Yes, it only had a few thousand miles on it.
Not another problem and I was sad to say goodbye to it a few years later.
We gave the Sub to our son and he drove it for years.
Batteries are very expensive in an electric car. And a regular replacement cycle
‘Fake News’ media strikes again... We need a BS meter before this stuff is posted.
And how much is the tax payer paid subsidy for all of it?
I hear for software upgrades you often must pay.
None shown on the service record for this vehicle?
That said, I have an I pad, that Apple no longer supports.
I stand corrected ...
Your head gasket may be starting to leak coolant into the engine, thus no visible leaks. A compression check might confirm this.
Also look for stains near the water pump. It may be leaking slowly but the coolant is evaporating on the hot block before it drips.
Thanks. Will look.
Sounds like a BOAT!
Break
Out
Another
Thousand
Or in my BILs case another ten thousand.
Sounds like you either got a lemon or are being taken to the cleaners. I've put over 100k on several cars, and I've NEVER had to replace a universal joint. Every 20,000 miles? Dump both the vehicle and the mechanic.
Read again, oil changes every 20,000 and one set of universal joint at about 140,000.
My son had a Jetta diesel, the required service for the automatic trans (dual clutch, DSG), approximately half the cost of fuel.
$750 at dealer every 40,000 miles; near two cents/mile.
The years he owned it diesel was ~$2.50 gal. or less 50 mpg plus.
I think it might be posse. This car was a shuttle.
I agree that it still seems high.
See the link from the article, it is all listed.
Head lights $2,800. A friend has a new Caddy about the same.
A good question.
No snow, no salt, seldom use the heater, but lots of AC.
Note the AC croaked at 290 K.
I tend to believe it.
We have a Prius V and met an equipment repair guy whose company uses Prius and typically put on 75k/yr.
Also knew a taxi company owner, they also put on 75 k/yr per cab.
Sounds good to me, and I have had a few like that.
Sadly now you cannot pass the Illinois EPA test with any idiot lights showing.
