WASHINGTON If youre still obsessing over the record-breaking Marvel film Black Panther, Smithsonians National Museum of African American History and Culture has some good news: You will soon be able to see the heros costume in person. The D.C. museum has announced that it has acquired many Black Panther objects after its Earl W. & Amanda Stafford Center for African American Media Arts (CAAMA) hosted a public screening of the film at the museum in February.
The items include the Black Panther costume, worn by actor Chadwick Boseman, as well as a shooting script signed by director Ryan Coogler and President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige, two pages of spec script, and 24 high-resolution production photographs.
Plans for display are still under consideration, the museum says.
Black Panther is the first superhero of African descent to appear in mainstream American comics.
The film, like the museum, provides a fuller story of black culture and identity, the museum says in a news release.

If only real life had an advanced African Civilization that produced objects so advanced people would think that aliens had to help them.
I can't think of any.
Oh except, I don't know maybe,

Do they have anything in the museum about Clarence Thomas?
I heard at one time they had nothing to celebrate the career of such a prominent African-American legal scholar and Supreme
Court justice.
What’s with a museum devoting itself to popular culture, as opposed to the actual history of blacks in America?
Unless we want to say that the black theme and black director/producer of the movie qualifies as historic achievement.

So The African American History Museum has a new display of a fictional character created by two Jewish guys? Did Louis Farrakhan approve this?

Why does America have a museum glorifying one specific race of people? That's not Americanism, that
racism.
It is rather likely that much of racial unrest is the result of this pandering to a specific race, giving the false impression that these people are not subject to the same rules as the rest of society.

FYI. The only contribution that sub-Saharan "Black" Africans made to the pyramids was as slave labor. The Egyptians were not "black."

Highest grossing Marvel Comics film (unadjusted for inflation). I think Avengers Infinity War will pass it soon.

Excellent point. They are giving museum space to fiction? Why?
It seems so odd, to be a serious museum, but honor fiction.

If youre still obsessing over the record-breaking Marvel film Black Panther, No. No I'm not.

I saw it yesterday. It wasnt as good as the Iron Man or Avengers movies.

Most of those aren't records. They're records of opinions.
The first one:
The highest-grossing solo superhero movie. Without adjusting for inflation, Black Panther is the second highest-grossing superhero movie of all time
is just confused.
