Any melting in on the western ridge which part of the Pacific Ring of Fire.
The volcano in Hawaii and increased activity in Yellowstone show that volcanic activity is increasing.

🙀👀. Sea levels dropping? "Glass-EE-ers" melting or evaporating? A giant polyp on the land mass's butt? Oh, duh. Trump derangement syndrome.

The unexpectedly fast rate of the rising earth may markedly increase the stability of the ice sheet against catastrophic collapse due to ice loss, scientists say. How many of the climate change models got this variable right? My guess is zero.
But it is still 'settled science'

A changing landscape in Antarctica?
Sounds like a good opportunity for Miskatonic University send an expedition to investigate some remote mountain ranges.

Maybe. Might. Stop using the word “Science”.

What is the “correct” sea level?
What is the “correct” amount of ice?
What is the “correct” global temperature?

Thought for sure somebody would post a reply claiming that the article is false because ‘everyone knows’ that bedrock can’t move.

1.4 inches rise of half the continent. But no earthquakes? No seismic signals?

I am traveling, so I don’t have my Antarctic countour maps with me, but the west Antarctic ice cap is very small compared to the east Antarctic ice sheet - which is a depressed “bowl” (or huge shallow dinner plate) with the mountains around the raised captive ice. East Antarctica is more alpine as I recall.

“which implies that up to 10 percent more ice has disappeared in this part of Antarctica than previously assumed”
But the second flood, like Noah’s has not occurred!!! /sarc

We are just beginning to understand that solar activity, magnetic field shifting, cosmic rays, lithospheric changes (earth crust), and climate are highly correlated. We are just along for the ride and its about to get bumpy.
