The first major Democratic candidate to launch a bid for Wisconsin governor has ended his campaign.
Milwaukee businessman Andy Gronik announced his decision to withdraw from the race on Thursday, following a Marquette University Law School poll that found he was supported by 4 percent of Democrats who plan to vote in the Aug. 14 primary election.
"The response to my candidacy has been incredible, and weve been picking up momentum and supporters every day, but just not fast enough," Gronik said in a statement. "Its time for me to step down and give someone a legitimate chance to win in November."

Walker is going to steamroller some midget, any midget, from the remaining field.
As a Wisconsin expat, maybe I am missing something from afar - but the only question I see is if Walker's turnout is great enough to submerge Tammy Baldwin. I sure hope so.
Will likely be Tony Evers and yes he will steamroll him no question.
Tell your Democrat friends to vote for him. Let’s embarrass them by getting them to nominate someone who has withdrawn.
Ten little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and broke his head. Mamma called the doctor and they both ate popcorn.
That’s my thinking, too. Tammy will hopefully be toast on Election Day, too!
Agreed. The only one plausible would be Evers with the backing of the teachers in our state.
Possibly Soglin, but Walker would easily explain to anyone listening that having a card carrying Communist as Governor might not be a good idea, LOL!
Marquette Law School Poll Shows Positive Trends For Walker Re-Election by James Wigderson | Jun 20, 2018 |

“Democrats are still undecided on who will take on Walker in the November election. Of the Democrats polled, 34 percent are still undecided, and only Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers reached 25 percent support. All of the other Democratic candidates for governor polled at less than 10 percent. Kelda Roys, the winner of a straw poll at the Democratic Partys state convention, only received 2 percent support, a slight improvement over the 0 percent she received in the last poll.”
LOL! The candidate the Dems picked for themselves got 2% support!
If Wisconsin’s ‘Rat bench is this weak, the other states must REALLY be floundering!
Ping to Post #7. 25% for Evers at this point. No other Dem candidate has more than 10%.
Walker in for the Win! Love My Guv!
