This thread is a friendly collaborative place for FReepers to analyze information and share opinons. FReepers have a wide variety of reasons for investigating Q Anon content; this is not the appropriate place to criticize or badger those who choose to use some of their time in this manner.

Q "drops" (i.e., posts) can be read with their original formatting on various websites. Sometimes the Q drop websites come under cyber attack or stop updating. This week, I've been using the following link:

seriously because so many rely on cnn/usa today/npr one can not carry a conversation with them because they HAVE NO CLUE as to the truth...

sadly, I find myself more and more having little in common with some family members..

Maybe buy a bunch of books and hand them to everyone soon after arrival, all gift wrapped.

A got one very liberal friend to read "The Blank Slate" which is a pretty mainstream book (NY Times best seller, but a pretty famous writer), which explains that a the entire idea that people are blank slates and that races and groups "learn" all their behavior is simply not true. Science has gone way past the whole "race is a social construct theory", but our social discourse is still stuck with it.

Anyway, he did read the book, and it does provide a basis for improved communication.

I'm not sure what other books are out there that would be good in this role. In general I think you want to avoid hard-partisan diatribes (think Ann Coulter) which are easily dismissed and trash-canned without reading, and instead provide innocent-looking books by authors who are not well known right-wing activists to peel a few layers off the onion of Libtardation that our leftist acquaintances and relatives are encased in.

I am SO lucky to have a brother who is a Trump supporter and a niece who can be corrected from the MSM media news she consumes. As for the liberal family fanatics, I either stay away from them or am comforted by the fact that they won’t inherit from me.

Do remember that the more time you spend sightseeing, the less time there will be to argue politics. Also try beatific smiling whenever they spout anti-Trump sentiments, along with a grateful “What a wonderful man! Greatest president EVER!” Niceness does drive liberals crazy. If you show anger, they win. If you treat them as sweet imbeciles, they lose.

One of my adult children told me she figured she has Aspbergers - total genius - IQ is probably way up there, loner, skilled and talented in many areas, no interest in stuff like shopping, parties, fashion, really anything the world considers success, is happiest when gardening, etcetec.
