Greg Rinckey, an attorney specializing in military law, said it was rare for an officer out of West Point to receive an other-than-honorable discharge. He added that it was also possible the military academy could seek repayment of the cost of Rapones education because he did not serve the full five-year service obligation required upon graduation.

If Hillary were president, it wouldn't have. He'd have probably been hand selected to be her military liaison.
“With a Dishonorable Discharge, this guy is finished.”
His future career as a barrista is secure...
Other than honorable.
GRRRRREAT!
Thanks for the info.
Just because it is one of the military academies does not mean there are no leftists in the command structure. One of Rapone's mentors at West Point was a leftist supporter. I bet there were many Cadets who knew about Rapone but knew that if they came forward they would possibly be the ones ejected from the academy.
In my 20 years in the Service I was twice unwillingly placed in a position where if I reported something my superiors would possibly take some type of action against me and if I did not report and it was found out later I would also get into trouble. I was lucky enough to know people who could help me outside of my chain of command and they took care of the situations without anyone knowing it was I who reported said issues.
thanks i was wondering who put him up for this.
Not a Dishonorable Discharge....and “9ther than Honorable Discharge” which is typical for circumstances such as this where they want to get rid of you because you are a pain in the ass.
This OTHD means he is not eligible for certain veterans benefits.
More likely to be licked in a stall of the men’s bathroom.
What's your point? Altmire most likely never even met him during the nomination process.
I was feeling bummed out due to Trump’s E.O. today, but this piece of good news is a pick-me-up to end the day with.
When I searched for articles about this, I think I spelled the commie’s name as “Spencer” instead of Spenser, which is why I didn’t see any results.
Those in our Congress have responsibilities, and among them is to nominate candidates for service academies who deserve the nomination, who have achieved the early successes and who are likely to succeed in the can be relied upon to follow through on their oath to... support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully execute the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, so help me God.
If it were not a major responsibility of Congresspersons, we would not have persons of Congress do this.
Are you referring to the Muslim adjunct professor who apparently had a lot to do with Rapone’s radicalization or a commissioned officer member of the staff or faculty at the USMA?

The adjunct professor.
Yep, it makes you worry about the integrity of the other cadets who must have known this guy is a communist.
It is difficult to kick out an Officer but it happens like this case. But he should have never even gotten into West Point, let alone graduated. As an enlisted man prior to West Point, he was kicked out of Ranger School for insubordination to the Ranger Regiment Command Sergeant Major. How in the world did he get into West Point with that on his record??? At West Point he was known as a communist and at least one of his professors complained long and loud to no avail. It was the Nidal Hassan syndrome all over again.
Let the lunatic serve in the army.
The Venezuelan army.
Smart guy.
He received a FREE top notch education.
