It does seem that even the nice white lady conservatives are phoning this one in, and so I must conclude that this bit of Journolist created political theatre will be a dud.
Trump will so easily manipulate this one that pretty soon the conservative intellectuals will realize they spent decades being dupes.
Trump has been relatively silent. My guess is that's by design. Give him a day or so then he will Tweet something outrageous, people will be hyperventilating for about 3 days, then he will come out with something that makes this go away/make the Dems look bad...like a report that shows 95% of the "parents" aren't relatives and 95% of the "kids" are teenage gang members.
