The Mirror reports that the girls parents bought her an Xbox One in January and she downloaded Fortnite. But by mid-March she was showing signs of addiction. "We got called in by her head teacher asking if everything was OK. She had fallen asleep twice in lessons and her grades were slipping," said mother Carol.
"When we asked our daughter what the problem was, she became unusually argumentative and aggressive, which we just put down to her hormones."
The family also started noticing regular payments of £50 ($67) per month on their credit card, which the daughter said could be from some extras shed paid for on Fortnite. When they confiscated the console, the girl reportedly hit her father in the face.

Old guy question?

Monopoly ended after I cleared everyone out heh. I’d go to the last dollar.
I’m still playing Battlefield 2142 12 years later....
Saw a preview video of Battlefield 5 coming out this October.
EA claims no pay to win, no pay for expansion packs the preview looks cool i might actually buy it after i read the initial player reviews.
people are complaining about a alternative WWII look with some chick with a prosthetic arm kicking ass....whatever.
I just wish EA would just bring a remastered BF2 back with zero changes but the graphics.
Now you know why Grandma had plastic slip covers on her furniture !
I’m still playing Sim City 4.
I believe the poster was referring to how time consuming Monopoly could be before someone finally won.
When I was around ten years old, I was at a relatives house one night and we decided to play a game of Monopoly. There were several of us playing and I remember that particular game lasted several hours until early morning.
BTW, I won, which thrilled me since I was the youngest one playing.
Monopoly has an end but it can seem like FOREVER.
Yes long, but it has an end, whereas Xbox games today have no end.
It has become obvious for many years now, that the permissive attitude towards totally incompetent parenting is imposing too great a financial burden on society in many forms, that a license parenting may be the answer.
Also the reduction or curtailment of public welfare assistance should be made mandatory.
Does dad soil his pants too?
I guess I’m not so worried about my Solitaire addiction after all...
I don’t care who you are fortnite is a great game
It's different. You are trying to help the mighty Donald kill off all the gremlins flying at him from the Deep State and their GOPe alliance. Not the same thing at all. It's not. And if you disturb my Freeping again I will.... well just don't do it. Don't. Don't. DO NOT!!!!!!!!!!
I have a friend with absolutely no money. Lives on Social Security. Not long ago I called her to see if she wanted to do some errands with me. She said sure if we can stop by the bank. Apparently over a little bit of time she had bought $100 worth of lives on Candy Crush and the charges were tied to her debit card. That $100 caused a bunch of different overdrafts for her. Luckily she worked at the bank til she retired so they reversed all the overdraft charges and she had just got her check so the $100 was covered. I said.....Oh my God! What is wrong with you?!?!?!
Yea Candy Crush is highly addictive to a lot of people.
Game made it’s company a fortune.
I have never played it.
So, homosexuality is no longer defined as a mental illness. Playing video games for x amount of time, however, is?
Yeah, whatever. The kid in question here though, obviously had more problems than ‘addiction’ to playing. It sounds like they were spoiled and didn’t care about their schooling. The parent’s failed again and can’t control her... so they stick the government or private medical facility with helping her.
