From ‘The Gang of Eight’ to ‘The Gang of 37’?

The Los Angeles Times reported on Sunday that the House Intelligence Committee late Thursday approved legislation that would for all intents and purposes eliminate the practice of restricting intelligence briefings to the “Gang of Eight,” a group that includes the party leaders of the House and Senate, as well as the ranking Democrat and Republican on each intelligence committee. The new provision would do away with the existing provision in the intelligence oversight act giving the president the authority to restrict the flow of the most sensitive information to just the senior leadership on the Hill. As a result, the president’s current statutory duty to keep the congressional intelligence committees “fully and currently informed” of U.S. intelligence activities, including any “significant anticipated intelligence activity,” such as a covert action program, would extend to all 15 members of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the 22 members on the House committee without exception.

The change is largely a result of two controversies: First, President Bush’s controversial decision in the wake of the 9/11 attacks to institute the more expansive electronic surveillance program against al Qaeda (the Terrorist Surveillance Program), which bypassed the existing statutory structure for governing such surveillance (the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978). Second, his administration’s decision to use advanced interrogation methods (waterboarding, etc.) on a select number of high-value terrorist detainees. Both decisions were briefed to the “Gang of Eight” on several occasions. Once both programs became public, and became front-page news, several members of the “Gang of Eight” complained that they had not been fully informed or that they were in the impossible position of knowing what was going on but not in a position to do anything about it. Other members of the group suggest that they in fact were fully informed and note that there was at the time little, if any, expressed disapproval of the decisions taken by the president.

I don't think these have been posted. If they have, apologies for the dupes.

These are on Reddit /greatawakening/. I've read there are "helper Anons" who help steer Anons in the right direction on Q drops. It's speculated these posts might be from a "helper Anon". I don't do 8ch and haven't seen the original posts. Perhaps if some Qsters here visit 8ch, they might have more insight to the posts.

I found them interesting. There might be nothing to them, just someone pretending to have inside knowledge.

One thing to note: in the posts at the second link (Part 2), there is a line that ends "...it sounds like MOABs are coming left, right and centre." The spelling of "centre" is British. That puts more doubt that these are genuinely from anyone "in the know"--IMO.

I just can't believe the newsies are the targets.

I'll agree that the media's pretty much indictment-proof.

However.

Enough people inside gummint get perpwalked for spilling to the media, those poor little newsies are going to run out of open doors or "sources" who will even answer their phone calls...if only for an invite for a "nooner".

And that's even if security doesn't get tightened to the point that a Press Pass (especially presented by a known Bad Actor) won't rate a front seat at a Tourist Tour and maybe even cost some Big Timers the credentials to have a staff in Washington. (The latter won't happen I know even if in a just world most of the WH Press Corps now present should be thrown out of the place.)

Sorry, I probably used too many obscure abbreviations.

SSCI= Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

This is the group that Wolfe worked for, and this is the group that all the leaks were coming out of, and this is the group whose members I posted.

If Wolfe was cooperating with someone I assume it would be a senior member of this committee, maybe DiFi, who has been on it as long as he has been employed by them (more than 20 years).

Peter Schiff is a House member, so he wasn't on this Senate committee.

The "Gang of Eight" has the two ranking members from this SSCI committee and the two ranking members from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. (Nunes, the R and Schiff, the D. That makes four. And then the two leaders from each chamber, Majority and Minority.

The Gang of Eight is the group the Executive Branch is supposed to brief on secret spy operations.

They have different information coming in than the SSCI does, and what was being leaked to the press was SSCI specific, which is what eventually led to Wolfe.

It appears that Carter Page complained to the FBI: hey, my testimony is supposed to be secret, but everything that happens there is reported by Brian Ross of ABC the next day. What's up with that?

Possibly the beginning of the end of Mr. Wolfe's little leaking operation.

Some years ago, I discovered that in his sprawling mansion in California, a very wealthy oil tycoon displayed a number of figurines, statuettes and images of owls. At least one was located in every room, aisleway, and gathering area. What’s more, visitors noted that upon the gentleman’s accessing each of these areas and rooms, his eyes immediately sought out the owl figure and fastened on it. It was as though he were bewitched by these idols. And, in fact, so he was.

For years, this man had attended the annual elitist devil-fest known as the Bohemian Grove, a nature gathering of wealthy politicians, bankers, diplomats, and corporate chieftains held in the redwood forest about 50 miles out of San Francisco. There, the attendees stage a satanic ritual called the Cremation of Care in which they worship a 42-foot tall owl idol, whom some believe to be a likeness to the ancient pagan god Molech. I posted a sequential description earlier. I’ll run it down again here but you’ll have to come to your own conclusion as to what transpired and the intent of the players.
This will be slightly different than my previous:

(1) Sessions is staring intently at Melania; she meets his stare 2x.
(2) FEMA director says”...A new strategic plan...”
(3) POTUS moves *something* forward to a position behind the bottle.
(4) POTUS removes the bottle to the floor.
(5) Melania glances in the general direction of the *something*.
(6) VPOTUS removes his water to the floor.
(7) POTUS removes the *something* to his lap.

IF this was trade-craft (I believe it was...of a sort), then we must remember that everything done in the open and exaggerated are designed as mis-direction. Ergo, the water movement was misdirection for something else. What was the *something*?

My take is that the *something was a note from POTUS to VPOTUS. Trump moved his water so that VPOTUS could read the note. Pence moved his water in the same fasion to say, “I’ve read it.” The note was retained by POYUS and we can all see it in the Trump presidential library on January 21, 2025.

What was in the note? National security or simply an offer for lunch?
