I think narrow referred to the scope of the decision rather than the 7-2 ruling. But I’m not sure.
I know that the Gaystapo really wants to proclaim that being gay is genetic, rather than a choice. But it IS a choice, because if people were born “gay”, they would not reproduce and that gene would evolve out of the population over just a few generations.
Of course, their choice doesn’t supersede the choice of ones’ religion, particularly the religion that defines marriage in the first place.
