GREENFIELD, Wis. —
A burglar used a sledgehammer to tunnel through a brick wall to get into a Best Buy in Greenfield early Thursday morning, police said.
An alarm alerted police to the break-in at the store on South 76th Street at about 2 a.m. The glass doors and windows at the front of the building were not damaged, but officers found a rectangular hole in the masonry along the north side of the store.
A statement from police indicated the surveillance video shows the burglar walking through the store and taking several items before leaving.
No one was in custody as of 10:30 a.m. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Greenfield police at 414-761-5300.
In a similar crime, thieves earlier this month made off with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise after tunneling through the wall of a Marathon County Best Buy store.
I think a sledgehammer would help me “smash through” a brick wall.
But, “tunneling”? I would choose differently — either as the burglar or as the reporter typing up a news piece.

If he’s used the effort expended to break through the wall in doing something productive, he could have paid for his goods from Best Buy and had something left over to put rims on his ride.
If he was all in white, he’d look like a Storm Trooper, LOL!

I don’t think “tunnelling” is what you think it is.. (what you think it means) .. (not you ETL)..
Maybe I miised something.. but ubove ground hacking/beating of a wall is not tunnelling in my book of defs..
Antifa shops at Best Buy.
Obviously not an illegal. An illegal knows to tunnel underground.
Aside from a couple of games, I’ve never found anything at Best Buy. The employees are zero help.
Well, I guess you could say he tunneled through the (relatively thin) wall of the building.
