One thing I dislike about the Got Talent franchises, changing the camera shots too much. And the audience shock shots, lol. I’ve been in an audience here where we were told to do different emotions and they filmed us doing them all (nothing on the stage).
“Ok, guys, pretend you are watching the grossest, most disgusting thing you’ve ever seen! It makes you want to vomit!”
“Now you are seeing the cutest act you’ve ever saw! Puppies! Babies! Kittens! Adorable!”
And of course “Remember, guys, today we are in CHICAGO. So when they say “Welcome to Chicago,” you guys cheer and go nuts!”
Etc.
For that reason, I’d never want to be in the audience of AGT. When an unattractive person comes on the stage and audience members are shown laughing or looking disgusted, they may have just been obeying instructions before they even saw the contestant. But I’d never want to be on TV looking like I’m making fun of a person like that.
