Another reason to pack a .44mag with semi-wadcutters.
Much more effective against any wild cat including tigers and lions is a flame thrower. Cats do not like flames. They will not attack if you have a bonfire going near your tent in the wild. A 44 magnum will either kill the animal or if you miss, it will kill you in a flash. With a flame thrower, the cat simply runs away and no one is harmed or killed.
That’s exactly what I pack whenever I hike....a Ruger Redhawk .44 mag.
