Andy is nothing like is dad, Charles Stanley.

I would not recommend people attend Andy's church nor listen to him on any matters pertaining to the Scriptures.

I was taught the same as you. Living two years in Israel taught me that for the Jews, Jesus, is not fulfilment of the OT. So one might infer from a Jewish viewpoint that Jesus became a political-religious angry division where in effect Christians try to make God their own Jesus-deity whom without the "being saved" a Jew is excluded from their heaven. Jews do not seemingly depart to the Christian faith in a heaven but depart differently. Being saved is an exclusive matter that prevents Christians from understanding that God's people are the Jews and they are not damned simply because they reject the Christ. Rather then they find Jesus as the Christian finds the Jew unable to worship God without the priest or rabbi. And then there is that church in Rome and those protestants and those Johovas witnesses and a thousand varieties of following Jesus as God vs. Over a hundred different sects of the original Jewish faith.

The only truth lies in the fact that that the word of God applies to His people and not those who never worshipped Him. Marriage is a word given to God's people and not what man would make it, and so on with homosexuals (Rome always dancing with their Satan) is again is context to God's people and not what man would twist....

Acts 11
4 Starting from the beginning, Peter told them the whole story: 5 “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision. I saw something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to where I was. 6 I looked into it and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles and birds. 7 Then I heard a voice telling me, ‘Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.’

8 “I replied, ‘Surely not, Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

9 “The voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’ 10 This happened three times, and then it was all pulled up to heaven again.

Good morning, Appy,

I may not be awake yet. How does this passage relate to your contention that no one could keep the OT flawlessly? We saw the passage in Dt. 30 where God told the Jews that it wasn’t too difficult for them. Yet none of them kept it flawlessly.

Isn’t it strange how over 2,000 years can pass with millions and millions of devoted Christians of all faiths and this guy, THIS ONE GUY, has now got it figured out where the Apostles of Christ and all the formative churches got Christianity wrong.

This is all about normalizing homosexuality.

Would not be surprised.

John 5:39- You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me..

I've just past Hebrews 11 in my NT reading. The writer of Hebrews ties the OT examples of faith, with us. "And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect."

And it's interesting also, to note how many times a NT writer will try to make a point by going through a long historical overview of OT history. Stephen. Paul (IIRC). And the two geneologies of Jesus. Others maybe, that I can't think of right now.

The only scriptures the believers in Jesus had at the time were the Old Testament. The Jewish believers especially would have known all the references to Messiah in the OT. I think of Phillip running alongside the eunich’s chariot, helping him to understand the “gospel” in Isaiah.
