To: Tuscaloosa Goldfinch
I was tempted to put it down and toss it a few times, too. But folks I respected loved it so I persevered. I still think there are far too many UNBiblical bits in it to give it out as at all edifying. Seems like seductive poison wrapped in feel-good phony theology, to me.

Whatever Biblical insights into God's character it offers can be gained from reading The Bible or better than THE SHACK other books.

Re: The Shack, your words describe my thoughts/feelings reading that book too. My mom, my husband, several friends loved it. Gave me the heebie jeebies of being ~off~. But your description fits more precisely.
