Actually, the Nazis would have been a bit more humane, in that they’d have quickly drugged him or gassed him, instead of “humanely” starving and dehydrating him. I remember an old Disney movie, I think it was “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” where there’s a scene in the wicked queen’s dungeon of a skeleton, locked in a cell, and desperately reaching out for a pitcher of water, sadistically placed just beyond his reach. That’s Alfie’s “humane” death.
Horrors like this are just what the Brits heroically fought, bled, sacrificed, and died to prevent in WW II.
