I have an opposite thing - when you go by the green road signs showing mileage to next town, etc, they don’t look big. They are HUGE when you stand next to them on the side of the road! The letters are probably a foot high.
Did you ever notice that when you open the fridge, the thing you want, no matter what it is, is always behind the other stuff?
Not only that, but when you look for something, it is always the last item you check. Amazing!
Where are the homeless?
I find that when I try to put something somewhere safe, then I can’t find it again.

I walked under an road bridge passing over a freeway. Both were under construction. The bridge was one of those interchanges that has only one string of traffic signals.
I felt like I was in an enormous cathedral.
The white stripes on Interstate highways don’t look that long.
I got a dollar that says they are at least ten feet long
......................
And the generous highway workers are often kind enough to leave two sets of lines side by side so you have no idea what Lane you’re supposed to be in so you just pray that you’re on the same page as the guy next to you.

It is amazing how many drives have not a clue as to what solid doubles, broken doubles one side, open in the lines at intersecting streets and solid lines at same and it is illegal to cross a solid double when accessing from an intersecting street and the list goes on.
For instance I worked at a business that had the exit with right and left turn signs posted on the property.
You are entering a 4 lane with a double solid and to your right 50 feet is a light.
It is illegal to go left and cross that solid double.
The CEO argued with me that I was wrong untill he went left one day, crossing the solid double, and got nailed by some one in the opposite traffic lane that he did not see because of the traffic built up at the light.
He got the ticket and I laughed out loud when he did .
Signs are still there
