Tuesday’s special election in Arizona’s Eighth Congressional District, in the conservative suburbs outside Phoenix, may reveal the depth of Republicans’ political challenges in 2018. Debbie Lesko, the party’s nominee and a former state senator, is favored to win over Hiral Tipirneni, a Democrat and emergency room doctor, in a district that supported Donald J. Trump in 2016 by more than 20 points.
This election was for the actual seat that was vacated when Trent Franks resigned.
Any interpretations of the result? It seem like it should have been a bigger victory. We have a Senate seat up in AZ.

This race was called almost instantly from when the polls closed and the first votes were published. It was over in five minutes of reporting by the AP, Politico & the NY Times!!! Democrat went down in flames. She needed Obama & Clinton to come into the CD to help her win...”NOT”.

Trump won the district by 20 points in 2016.
The GOP was relatively incompetent in that regard, so they turned a 20-pt. advantage into a 6-point win. But a win is a win.
Obama and Clinton were in AZ? Know wonder I have been sick lately.
