Thanks, but I guess my question is does 8ch normally format 5 separately typed periods as an ellipses and two regular periods? What is copied into a reply box here at FR could also be formatted differently as it goes through the FR system than what's at the original 8ch and change the formatting.

When I do < pre > on those two sentences, it comes out as ellipses and two regular periods.

I don't do 8ch, so I can't go there and look at how it's formatted there.

Bagster questioned the size of the periods, and that's my explanation. I really think size doesn't matter...in this case. ;)
