Wrong, wrong, wrong. It is you who are stunningly ignorant (and lazy), "AndyJackson." A "quick Google search" will not (and cannot) "prove" anything of the kind.

You imagine that a "quick Google search" is a competent way to judge the authenticity of a quotation being attributed to a philosopher from 2400 years ago. Wrong. If you knew anything AT ALL about the matter you would know that those "quotation" sites you see on your "quick Google search" are highly unreliable. Often they simply parrot whatever junk has been tossed out by anyone on the internet. In this case a "quotation" which did not exist before the late 20th century.

If you knew anything at all about Socrates or Plato you would know how ridiculous this "quotation" is. It is NOT genuine. It is a parody quote. Mock profundity. #FakeQuote

Also, the portion of the quote that is from "Days of Our Lives" is simply part of the parody. The screenwriter(s) for "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" scooped up that soap opera quote and put it into their own longer parody quote, likening philosophy to soap opera and continuing their mock-tour of historical figures.

Of course, this is all far afield from "Q" but it illustrates quite clearly how ignorant and careless people on these Q-cult threads tend to be. "Bagspit" and "edzo4" most of all..... You all shouldn't believe everything you see on the internet. You shouldn't be so uncritical. You shouldn't be so gullible. There are many mistakes and falsehoods in what "Q" has put out (along with much true and factual info, as well as a great deal of vague unfalsifiable "prophecy").

Many people on these Q-cult threads misuse terms like "proof".... these are some of the worst threads on FreeRepublic because they are dominated by people who have no serious understanding of evidence, argument, analysis, science, or "proof".... If you all can't get a simple quotation straight, what chance is there that you can sort out fact from fiction in all the spew from "Q"?????
