See my post at #50.

My biggest fear with Killary’s nomination was the “it’s time we had a woman President” crowd showing up in the same numbers as the “it’s time we had a black President” crowd!!

Nope, that was never a threat... Hillary never stood a chance. No Democrat did.... but her in particular.

Hillary’s only shot was a traditional R got the nomination and ran a Rovesque campaign... one where both sides just conceded 90% of the map and tried to thread the needle through a few battleground states. Which very much would have been the campaign had Trump not gotten in. in that Scenario the election is a toss up because any election run that way is a toss up.

Once Trump was involved, Hillary had ZERO chance at the WH. Trump was not going to run that style of campaign, and it was obvious from the get go he was going to win the White House and do it right up the upper mid west.

There was never any shot at women becoming a unified block for another woman, just because she’s a woman. Blacks have always voted 90% or more D nearly every election for the last 1/2 century of more.... So Barry just motivated more of them to show up to vote... this was NEVER the case, or ever going to be the case for women. They are not remotely as unified (sheep?) of a voting block.

Hillary’s chance was better with at typical GOPe candidate, yet she and her party directly worked to get Trump the nomination because they foolishly believed he’d be easier to beat...... Even though he was CLEARLY the strongest and greatest threat on the field. They wanted him to be the GOP Nominee... they worked to make him the nominee... and never remotely realized just how big a threat he was.

Trump had momentum from day one, and he only stalled twice during the entire cycle, both were due to self inflicted wounds. Which he fortunately recognized and adjusted fast enough to regain momentum.. Hillary NEVER had any momentum... not once in the campaign.. what she had was a unified establishment behind her out of the gate, so she had a solid block of voters, but she NEVER ever grew it... the same folks who voted for her election day, were folks who were going to vote D no matter what from the get go... she NEVER had any momentum.... And her entire campaign was attempts to stops Trumps and it never worked. In fact, had the election been held just a week later Trump likely would have won MN and NH and a few other states.

Hillary NEVER stood a chance once Trump entered the fray. She couldn’t even honestly put away Grandpa Bernie, who’s only reason to be there was to make it look like she wasn’t simply handed the nomination, they literally went out and found the biggest glass jaw they could find just to make it look like a show and she couldn’t even put him away without cheating.... She had ZERO shot of beating Trump... and while her odds would have been better with a standard GOPe candidate, she was no shoe in to win then either.

Trying to win a 3rd term for a failed administration and an economic disaster that was the Obama years is a near impossible lift in American Politics no matter who the candidate is.

IN all honestly Hillary did far better than she should have done.
