Just so everyone knows the Red Cross has been under a Consent Decree with the FDA for decades. Documented as due to an inability to test all the blood appropriately before it gets used.
CDs create a huge amount of outside interference and internal noise for corporations. I could easily see such a setup being used to provide cover for imposed management decisions and the like to coverup for bad stuff.

Wonder what the price for that was. Based on what I know from people that worked there they definitely still had the same issues.
