I plan to post one thread at a time and ping new drops posted to it. When I post each (new) thread, the prior thread is retired and all new posts occur on the newest thread.

There were a half dozen or so families involved in banking - real estate and medicine. All were represented by first generation immigrants who returned regularly to their native country. Also, one anon has posted there that the salvation army is dirty. Anyone here have info on that? I’ve always thought they were ok.

A few years ago tornados hit a town close to me. The salvation army showed up within a couple of hours. They had food and clothing. My friend said she and her family will forever be grateful.

I once went there to give a donation that Humana chipped in half..the guy was in tears saying a lady(whom was leaving as I arrived) need diapers and food for her baby. He kept thanking me and assured me he could now provide her that day with help.

I worked with the Salvation Army during the flooding of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, They were there 24/7 and appeared to be the top dawg in disaster management. I would be quite surprised if there were anything dirty in that organization. They worked harder and longer than anyone else.

Larry Schweikart knows polls and state by state R vs Dem registeration, numbers etc more than anyone else and he posts about these topics on his twitter regularly. He is beyond jolly. Well worth checking his twitter for that and other reasons. I am not worried about mid terms due to reading him.
