Nobody can justify a $600 ice chest, unless it’s a prestige purchase. I suppose some people might have a need for an extremely high performance cooler, but our family camping trips don't justify one.

Multi day camping/fishing trips at isolated places is probably the best reason for wanting a 5 day ice cooler.
