No, I don’t think so, it was an extremely popular daytime soap opera, and when Cronkite interrupted it, millions in the years after, recalled, as everyone did, what they were doing when they learned of the assassination. It was seared into the American zeitgeist.
I’m pointing out that in addition to the Hollywood angle we are exploring right now, concerning that phrase, AS THE WORLD TURNS, it also has connections to the JFK references Q frequently makes.

However, at the time, it took about 20-30 minutes for the cameras to warm up, that’s why all you saw in the initial reports was the “CBS Bulletin” on the screen.
There are videos on YouTube with the NBC and ABC coverage, and they did the same thing.
