T-Mobile’s ONE Military deal gets service members 50% off family plans

Service members can now get 50 percent off an unlimited family plan with T-Mobile’s new ONE Military deal. They’ll pay $55 a month (the usual rate) for their first line, but any additional lines will be charged at half their usual price.

The ONE Military deal gives service members all the benefits of an unlimited family plan. That means unlimited talk, text, and data; unlimited talk and text and 5GB of data in Mexico and Canada; free mobile hotspot data, and lots more. But it’s a great deal more affordable.

Subscribers pay the regular $55 a month for their first line, but every line they add after that costs 50 percent less. So, a second line is charged at $25 a month, while lines three through six are charged at just $10 a month. All of these prices include taxes and fees, so there are no nasty surprises when you get your bill.

The ONE Military deal also gives subscribers 50 percent off the latest Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S9 series, when they’ve earned 24 monthly bill credits.

The ONE Military deal goes live on April 22, and it’s available to anyone with eligible military status. You’ll need to verify your military status before you sign up, but T-Mobile says this will take less than 10 minutes.

Also free Netflix, free texting from 100+ foreign countries, 2g data in those countries and more.

I am with T-mobile now and this will save me $90ish dollars/month.

T-Mobile also offers 50% off for seniors. I believe it’s 52 years and older.

Another thing they have is for people 55 and over, you can get the same plan, for $60 for your first line, and a second line for just $10 more (you do have to agree to auto-pay, otherwise it will be $10 more.) You are limited to just two lines though, but it's a great deal.

With T-Mobile that is the price, no taxes or other surcharges.

How is T-Mobile service these days? My son had them, and had a lot of signal problems. He lives less than 2 hours away from me in a big city, and his calls to me were always being dropped. The best reception we ever had on a phone call was when he called me from Paris.

I went with them a year ago and haven’t had a problem. From what I have read they have really upped their quality and coverage.

Switched to T-Mobile about 2 months ago, had AT&T and the switch saved us just short of $100/month. Got the 55+ plan. Coverage and phone/data service is no different than I had before. :)

What AT&T doesn't offer is reliable service. We had very spotty service in our last house and our current house. No problems with Verizon. I'd try the T-Mobile deal, but they don't have a presence in Alaska.

Glad to know the German gov’t that owns T-Mobile supports the American armed forces with cheaper cell service. No lingering hard feelings for Malmedy.

I think any cell phone company can have issues at any given point.

At my house I had spotty reception with Verizon but T-Mobile is flawless. (Semi-rural SC)

I switched over and still had my Verizon phone, which T-Mobile paid off, and didn’t have good reception with T-Mobile. T-Mobile gave me a free router so I could access their net using the internet. Once I bought a T-Mobile phone the problem went away and I still have a free router. I am told it has something to do with the architecture of the phones/network.

It was many years ago but we had major problems with AT&T adding random charges to the bill, they were always good about removing them but we could count on spending an hour on the phone with them every other month.

We went to T-Mobile and just stayed because there was no drama, no over charges, no surprises.
