Hillary Clinton's popularity has plunged since election, poll finds
Fox News ^ | 04/18/2018 | Adam Shaw

Hillary Clinton, well over a year after she lost the 2016 election to President Trump, is less popular than ever, according to a poll released this week.

Only 27 percent of those polled had a very or somewhat positive view of the former secretary of state, according to The Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll. That makes her less popular than President Trump, whose popularity registered at 35 percent. It is a new low for her in the poll, which clocked her popularity at 30 percent in August 2017.

A Journal analysis of the poll notes that the poll is a reminder of “just how unusual” Clinton is in terms of her unpopularity — even among recent losing presidential nominees who have typically experienced a post-election decline, but not to the extent Clinton has. At the time of the election, 40 percent had a positive view of her. […]

… [T]he scandals that dogged her throughout the campaign have not gone away. The question of her email use when she served as secretary of state is still in the spotlight as the FBI’s handling of the probe itself is under scrutiny. And Trump has continued to launch the occasional attack on his former election rival. …

It numbs my mind that she could have any popularity in the first place. For crying out loud, if they are hell bent on having a female President, can’t they find someone who is morally presentable and not so vile?

[ I hope she survives to run in the next election. I hope she gets the nomination. I hope she campaigns for demonratic candidates this fall.

Satan’s Prom Queen is the gift that keeps on giving. ]

I hope Bernie runs against her again and that Bernie decides to walk down any street in the middle of the night.

These numbers are for “Adults” not “Registered Voters.”
Big difference

Note also the WSJ/NBC poll was one of the most inaccurate in predicting the 2016, significantly over-estimating Hillary’s final numbers, as well as of course predicting she’d win.
The Marist poll came closest to being spot-on, and only the IBD poll showed Trump with a higher vote percentage than the actual election result.

Unfortunately that implies that more than of a quarter of our population are still either evil or moronic - or both.

There are female presidential candidates and then there are . . . people like Sarah Palin, who triggers them.

The marxist scold never had any charisma. Her attempts to connect with the American people always fell flat. If not for her husband, she’d be a nobody - just another obscure and angry leftist.

I agree 100%.

In my opinion, she has always been an extremely unpleasant person with a grating voice and an obnoxious personality. I have never understood how anyone could ever have seen anything positive in her. She is not even all that intelligent, although she is sly enough and duplicitous enough to fool some people in to thinking she is smarter than she really is.

She’ll run again same as Eric Holder saying he’s gonna run for the simple reason that they’ll both be able to claim political persecution if they’re indicted during the campaign.

She had 48% of the popular vote (there were several million votes for third-party candidates like Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, Egg McMuffin, and others).

People knew something about the email scandal (but presumably if the missing emails had been made public, she would have looked much worse--they were deleted for a reason). But there were other scandals which got little or no public attention in 2016. Haiti, for example--if the public had heard more about how the relief money earmarked for Haiti after the earthquake largely disappeared without doing the Haitians who needed help any good, that might have driven down the votes for Hillary from black Americans.

Is that anything like Occam's Razor?

Well, not exactly. Ockham’s dictum has to do with where there are two explanations for the same matter, the simpler would be the better one.

Hanlon’s dictum insists that one should never attribute to malice any act, speech or deed that could be better explained by the doers’ stupidity; but the more I see of the left, the more I see that it’s their malice driving their actions, and that’s consistent with things said by people like Lenin, e.g. “We must hate; hatred is the basis of communism”, et al.
