One weekend I invited Barack to meet my grandparents, Elizabeth and William Lytton Payne...

William Lytton Payne 1904-1996 was a 4th cousin of Charles Thomas Payne 1861-1940, father of Rolla, father of Madelyn Payne Dunham.

So the brother of Madelyn was named after him? Charles T Payne, the Deputy Director of the University of Chicago Library...and his wife Melanie...small world.

1. One weekend “I” invited Barack to meet my grandparents, Elizabeth and William Lytton Payne...

Who is the “I”... Boerner?

They both just happened to be related? Paynes would be Great Aunt & Great Uncle?

And neither knew of one another previously and both just happened to transfer from Occi to Columbia college at the same time?
