In my opinion, our latest action in Syria was a victory for the deep state.
And Israel is NOT the aggressor. Their main concern is Iran's R/D and launching point going on in Syria. They already launched an 'armed' drone into Israel from there recently.
Prophecy is a tough enemy to defeat - never been done actually. Damascus will fall sometime in the probably near future - whether all in one hour or over a period of time is debatable. But the prophesied nations (Iran, Turkey, etc) then move against Israel some time after that.
I'm neither smart enough nor dumb enough to predict the timing. But we can't stop it happening in the long run.

Then we are living in Oppositeville on this one, goodman. Let me explain my take on it.
The "gas attack" was obviously either non existent or a "false flag" made in response to The Donald's delaration of his intent to pull troops from Syria.
Deep State wanted us to remain. That was the whole purpose, and on this, most of us likely agree, yes?
The Donald most likely knows this. So he used the deep state's own false flag as an opportunity to destroy deep state assets within Syria. Notice that Russia moved it's assets from the target areas before the strikes and stood down their anti missile defenses.
There are no reports of Russian or civilian casualties, as we normally would see in this type of situation.
I believe the strikes were coordinated with Russia, despite the face saving bluster from both sides. All for show. I further believe that the "pulling of ground troops" from Syria will take place soon.
This, in effect. isolated Iran (who is next). Iran is now the cheese. And they stand alone.
So yes. In a BIG PICTURE kind of way. The Syrian strikes were a loss for the Deep State.
And Iran is next, if Russia isn't provoked by Israel into escalating and things can simmer down and alliances coalesce in preparation for the takedown of Iran. Which, I might add, has it's own revolutionary civilian problems wo worry about right about now. This time with no Obama to shut it down.
