See, this is the hyperbole that has people confused. Reaching the Olympic level in skating requires a number of admirable traits, and no incompetent person is going to get there, let alone have real success.

Tanya deserves to be reviled for her role in the knee-bashing thing, but she's not ugly in the least, never struck me as being particularly stupid (other than her participation in said knee-bashing) and I doubt she's illiterate. But people like you think of her that way. Why?

Have you heard her speak? She's barely above grunting and pointing. And if you don't think she's ugly, all I can say is that your tastes are a lot different than mine.

And I never said anything about her ability as a skater, although she never amounted to much against the competition.

She's just trash who clawed her way near the top, only to throw it away because she couldn't win fairly. I don't know what respect that deserves, but it ain't much, in my book.
