There is pre-school care, after school care for some kids. Babies put into day care at 6 weeks old. Mommy and Daddy just have to 1600 dollars worth of phones and tats the latest everything so mommy must work.
I see kids even with two parents are stressed out. Family time on the weekend now resembles what the divorced dad syndrome used to look like.
Over scheduled kids. traveling high stress sports teams.
This woman where I used to work, used to spend hours on the phone every week. Making arrangements for her two kids weekend travel just to play a game.
I was in 5th grade the first time I heard the word divorce. 44 years later people don't even bother to get married and why would they? We have a niece, her parents never married. She gets to the point she hates Christmas. 4 grandparents right? No all 4 grandparents are divorced. Then her boyfriends parents are divorced and her boyfriends grandparents are divorced.
So as much as we (I've never been divorced) try to blame kids for how they act, we sure as hell are not setting a very good example.
Boomers, Me Generation, Xers. We have done our damage. We need to own it so we can fix it. I feel sorry for these little kids.
