hen Tiger Woods knocked one into the water at Amen Corner for the second day in a row, he headed off toward the Nelson Bridge while his two playing partners took a more familiar route to the 12th green over the Hogan Bridge. In a sense, those divergent paths were the perfect analogy for where Woods is at this stage of his career. He might add another major title to his amazing record. Maybe even two. But he's not catching Jack Nicklaus, and his days of dominating on the PGA Tour are done.

And that just pleases you to pieces?
Tiger Woods brought every one of his troubles on himself. I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.
I was hoping he would not make the cut so we could see some other golfers on the TV...
He’s 42. Its been 21 years since he won his first tournament when he was 21.
Ditto. The thing is everything I have read he is the same nasty person as he has always been. No reflection or trying to be a better person.
You mean like Wilt Chamberlin?
No. Tiger is much shorter than Wilt...
Tiger Woods doubles TV ratings. Golfers are so attracted to him. I love watching Tiger play and I dont like him at all.
I doubt his back & knees are going to hold up as he ages into his 40s. He’s going to be hit & miss to watch.
I’d rather see 30 shots of the leaders and 1-2 shots of Woods instead of 30 Woods and 1-2 of the leaders...
Political correctness has destroyed both golf and tennis coverage. The fawning way the media follows Tiger and Serena is obnoxious. Why don’t they just cancel the tournaments, give all the trophies and awards to these two and be done with it.
Tiger had it all but he was responsible for his family and legacy. He destroyed both. The family is forgotten and sycophants prop the legacy for selfish reasons. One excuse for everything was his health but my personal opinion is that he took too many “enhancements” that are banned in all pro sports. His body and brain broke down and he became an addict to painkillers and he has not been the same. He could have been the best of all time but he chose his path of has been. Tiger is not the first golfer, let alone pro athlete, to squander it all.
He is done.
There are a lot of people that like to watch him...even when hes is not playing well. Why is that? Im genuinely curious.
Bumptious
Golf actually is in a very good place right now without Tiger. The top of the Masters leaderboard down to 10th place is loaded with all-time talent who all were inspired by Tiger in his heyday. That might be Tiger’s greatest legacy.
Bingo. He became an idol and destroyed himself. I have no sympathy, yet the ones who make the most out of idol worship, blind sycophantic worship, want to resurrect him.
Ever since he made up a story about being race-baited in kindergarten by his white classmates, I have had zero respect for Eldrick Woods—I refuse to refer to him by his nickname.
Sort of like his ex-wife?
Tiger has had some problem with his drives recently. One drive was so bad, he was arrested for DUI.
